Texas Boarding Schools
The Hockaday School

Located in Dallas. Provides an outstanding college preparatory education for girls in the prekindergarten through twelfth grades. Hockaday is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest.
San Marcos Baptist Academy

Located 45 miles northeast of San Antonio and 30 miles south of Austin, San Marcos Baptist Academy is a coeducational college-preparatory school with a boarding and day program for boys and girls in grades 7-12.
St. Stephen's Episcopal School

Located in Austin, Texas. TMI -The Episcopal School of Texas

Choices Adolescent Treatment Center, Inc

Coed treatment located in Marshall, TX. Focuses on adolescents which abuse substances and addresses related psychiatric disorders.
Meridell Achievement Center

Located in Liberty Hill, TX. The traditional RTC specializes in the treatment of adolescents (ages 12-17) with mental health issues that can include a psychiatric diagnosis, such as major depression, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and other related psychiatric issues. The Neurobehavioral Program is designed for children and adolescents (ages 5-17).
High Frontier, Inc.

Located in Fort Davis, TX. High Frontier utilizes a variety of cognitive learning strategies incorporated through a systematic group therapy approach known as Positive Peer Culture. High Frontier promotes wellness through challenging distorted thinking patterns while promoting opportunities for the young person to demonstrate their self-worth.
Sundown Ranch

Sundown Ranch is a treatment facility, whose primary purpose is to provide quality chemical dependency services to adolescents and young adults. The ranch, 450 acres of rolling hills, lakes and trees, provides a highly structured and individualized program, in an environment where young people can learn to live free of drugs and alcohol.

There are several Texas boarding schools which provide various types of program like summer camps and outdoor activities.
